Who are you and what do you do?
I am a dancer, actor and mother of 3. I have been on stage in theatre productions, in film, commercials and on TV. I have a burlesque troupe called Honey & Rose Burlesque and dance with other performing groups in Southern AZ.
Why does it matter?
Performing is a way for me to be creative, try new things and make people happy. It matters because people need the ability to watch performing arts and de-stress from their daily lives. If I can make them think outside the box, laugh, cry and forget about life\’s daily struggles, then I have succeeded as a performer.
When did you realize performing was what you wanted to do?
I knew at a young age that I wanted to perform but I didn’t know how. It wasn’t until about 5 years ago, when I auditioned for my first stage performance that it all came together, and I haven’t stopped since.
Do you remember what it was like in the beginning?
In the beginning, I remember, that I had so much to learn. Performing was more than just standing there in front of an audience. I had a job to do and I needed to know what I was doing to perform that job and perform it well.
