Who are you and what do you do?

I am an 85-year-old woman and I write plays, direct them, and act in them.

Why does it matter?

Because I have so much experience to draw on.

When did you realize performing was what you wanted to do?

In high school.

Do you remember what it was like in the beginning?

Becoming another person.

What is your dream performance?

To play the concertina and sing.

Which living person do you most admire?

Jimmy Carter.

Which living person do you most despise?

Donald Trump.

What is the quality you most like in a person (man or woman)?

Loving me.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Discovering my imagination.

What is your favorite word?


What is your least favorite word?


What turns you on creatively, spiritually, or emotionally?

Pure chance.

What turns you off?


What is your favorite curse word?


What sound or noise do you love?

Train whistle.

What sound or noise do you hate?

Pneumatic drill.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

History teacher.

What profession would you not like to do?


If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
